Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Swipe Match Pal ("the app", "the service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
The app is operated by Avocado Technology. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Avocado Technology regarding your use of the service.
Description of Service
Swipe Match Pal is a group decision-making tool. It lets users create decision boards, invite participants, submit options, and vote on those options using a swipe interface. Results are visible to all participants once the creator closes the board or the countdown expires.
Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account and create boards. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in codes and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Guest participants can join boards without creating an account. Guests do not have a persistent identity across sessions.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Swipe Match Pal only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You agree not to use the app to:
- Post, submit, or share illegal, harmful, defamatory, abusive, or harassing content.
- Spam, phish, deceive, or impersonate other users or third parties.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the service.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
AI-Generated Content
The AI option-generation feature is a drafting aid only. AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated option before adding it to a board.
We do not warrant the accuracy, quality, or appropriateness of AI output. Avocado Technology accepts no liability for any reliance placed on AI-generated suggestions.
AI-generated options are clearly labelled as such in the board results.
Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the app, including board titles, option text, and images. By submitting content, you grant Avocado Technology a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display that content to the participants of the boards you create or join, for the purpose of operating the service.
The Swipe Match Pal name, logo, and all app software are the intellectual property of Avocado Technology. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without our prior written permission.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data and is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. By using the app you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Avocado Technology shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the service at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms of Use.
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app or by emailing privacy@swipematchpal.com. See our Privacy Policy for details on data deletion.
Changes
We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. When we make significant changes we will communicate them via an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after a change has been published constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
